So we picked black mountain after a substantial amount of optimism we managed to get some Pinot of the bottom block. I’m feeling very privileged to be able to manage such a unique site in Australian viticulture. And for me this vineyard epitomises everything that New England is as a region. Our region is so vast and remote with such a diversity of soils and altitudes. Black mountain is the highest in the country sitting on grey basalt its a tricky site but will reward with some delicious sparkling #1306asl #jillywines #jillysparkling
